The holiday season is here and it’s not just about shopping, eating and drinking. Every year families from all over the world decorate their house in magical Christmas lights – capturing the imagination of children and adults alike. In this post, we share a few of the beautiful Brisbane houses that are decorating their houses this year and how you can too.
A unique display showing the beauty of recycled materials. You’ll see what beauty they can create with 1749 aluminium cans, 280 milk bottles, over 100 softdrink bottles and countless plastic shopping bags. A display with a difference.

This house features an interactive light display featuring a light show synchronised to music and 24,000+ LEDs sequenced over 7,400+ channels.
Want to bring some holiday cheer to your neighbourhood?
Here are a couple of ideas on how you can make a beautiful lights display for your home:
- Pick a theme. Some of the best light displays start with a theme. This lets you target a specific aspect of Christmas and let it shine. Plus, it keeps you on track to make a cohesive arrangement. For example, a nativity scene doesn’t necessarily belong next to an inflatable Grinch.
- Plan your lighting blueprint. Christmas lights aren’t very effective unless they can be seen. Try standing across the street or a ways away from your house to see where the best vantage points are. You can drive by in your car to get a feel for where your lights can really pop, what windows you can decorate, and what part of the roof gets the most visibility. Then plan out your lights.
